BPL-THE HIGH-SPEED LINE(LGV) BRITTANY - PAYS DE LA LOIRE

Project Overview

The high-speed line (LGV) Brittany - Pays de la Loire is an extension of the LGV Atlantique Paris - Le Mans. With a gain estimated time of 37 minutes, this new line will significantly reduce journey times between Paris and Rennes.

The 182 km which separate Connerré (east of Le Mans) in Rennes, 32 km more must be done to connect the line with the existing network and service stations Rennes, Laval and Le Mans.

A junction is made at the level of Sable-sur-Sarthe to allow service stations Angers and Nantes. This is in total 214 km of new line to be built by fall 2016.
